SYNERIS – Journal of Interdisciplinary Social Science invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners from across the social sciences to submit their original work to our journal. 3. Article Template

Download and use our Official Article Template to format your manuscript correctly. Manuscripts not using this template may be returned before peer review.

Submission Process

Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step submission process.

Step 1: Register or Log In

  • New users: Click the "Register" link at the top of the journal homepage and create an account.
  • Returning users: Click "Log In" and enter your credentials.

Step 2: Start a New Submission

  • Once logged in, navigate to the "Submit an Article" section.
  • Select the appropriate section for your manuscript:
    • Interdisciplinary Research Articles
    • Theoretical Essays and Reviews
    • Hypothesis and Theory
    • Methodological Notes
    • Commentaries
    • Book Reviews
    • Letters to the Editor

Step 3: Upload Your Files

  • Main Manuscript: Upload your fully anonymized manuscript file (Microsoft Word .docx format).
  • Title Page: Upload a separate file containing author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, and contact details.
  • Figures and Supplementary Materials: Upload high-resolution figures and any supplementary files (if applicable).

Step 4: Enter Metadata

  • Provide the title, abstract, keywords, and author information.
  • Ensure all co-authors are correctly listed and have approved the submission.

Step 5: Confirm and Submit

  • Review all information for accuracy.
  • Agree to the journal's copyright and licensing terms.
  • Click "Submit" to complete the process.

Post-Submission

After submission, you will receive an acknowledgement email. Your manuscript will then proceed through the following stages:

  1. Editorial Screening: The editorial team assesses your manuscript for scope, formatting, and basic quality standards.
  2. Peer Review: If it passes the initial screening, your manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers for double-anonymized evaluation.
  3. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes a decision (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject).
  4. Revision (if applicable): If revisions are requested, you will have the opportunity to address reviewers' comments and resubmit your revised manuscript.
  5. Final Decision and Publication: Once accepted, your article will be copyedited, formatted, and published online.

The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks.

Ethical Standards

SYNERIS adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All authors are expected to:

  • Ensure the originality of their work.
  • Properly cite all sources and acknowledge contributions.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • Obtain ethical approval for research involving human or animal subjects.
  • Not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
